Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board resumed today after being postponed due to severe weather and localised flooding triggered by heavy rainfall. Examinations under the country's nine other general education boards, as well as the Madrasah and Technical Education boards, are continuing as regular scheduled.

According to the examination routine, morning exams for Civics and Good Governance (First Paper), Biology (Theory, First Paper), and Business Organisation and Management (First Paper) began at 10:00am under the nine general education boards, said Prof Parvez Sazzad, Controller of Examinations of the Chattogram Education Board.

He said the Food and Nutrition (First Paper) examination is scheduled for the afternoon session.

Under the Madrasah Education Board, Alim candidates are taking Islamic History, Physics (Theory, Second Paper), and Tajwid (Second Paper, Mujabbid Mahir division) examinations. Meanwhile, Higher Secondary Certificate (BM/BMT) candidates under the Technical Education Board are sitting the Human Resource Management-I examination.

The Chattogram Education Board suspended all remaining Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for 2026 on July 16 until further notice due to the post-flood situation.

A total of 1,270,583 candidates are registered for this year's HSC and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards.
